Last year, thousands of community members gathered in the Civil Rights District to celebrate Juneteenth with us. This year, we’re expanding the celebration with a district-wide Juneteenth Jubilee, and we’re expecting an even larger crowd.
That means we need your help.
Volunteers play a critical role in creating a welcoming, safe, and memorable experience for every guest who joins us throughout the day. Whether you’re helping set up event spaces, assisting visitors, supporting activities, or keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes, your service helps make this celebration possible.
We have two volunteer teams available:
Event Logistics Crew
Help bring the event to life behind the scenes by assisting with setup and breakdown of event infrastructure, including signage, tables, chairs, tents, water stations, vendor areas, and activity spaces.
Available Shifts
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Setup)
5:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Breakdown)
Please note: This role is active and requires lifting, walking, and working outdoors.
Serve as the face of the event by helping guests navigate and enjoy the celebration. Volunteers may assist at information stations, activity areas, presentation spaces, vendor zones, rest areas, and other event experiences throughout the day.
Available Shifts
12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Minimum commitment: 3 hours
Please note: This role requires standing and walking throughout your shift and is not a sedentary assignment.
