Volunteer Orientation

Join our upcoming BCRI Volunteer Orientation! Volunteers are an essential part of our daily operations. We offer flexible volunteer schedules and no experience is necessary. Must be 18 or older. Potential volunteers will complete the initial paperwork, Q&A about the BCRI support options and participate in a mini scavenger hunt in the Galleries.   Light refreshments available.

The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute will reopen on May 27, 2026 at noon.

This brief delayed opening will allow staff and vendors time to complete final preparations for safe public access to the building. Thank you again for your patience, support, and understanding throughout this process. We look forward to welcoming visitors back today.
