BCRI x Sidewalk Cinema: Summer Film Series – 54 Miles to Home

August 12, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This month’s Summer Film Series screening is presented in partnership with The Conservation Fund. In recognition of the 60th anniversary of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, we’re proud to present 54 Miles to Home, a documentary film that highlights the unsung heroes who supported the Selma to Montgomery march.

The film shares the stories of three families who risked their lives by opening their land to provide campsites for thousands of marchers along the 54-mile route in 1965.

After the screening, stay for trivia and put your voting rights history knowledge to the test!

Film Screening: 6:00 PM
Voting Rights Trivia: 6:35 PM
Location: Sidewalk Cinema

This event is free and open to the public. Come ready to learn and be inspired! Reserve your tickets below.
