Juneteenth: A Celebration for the Culture

June 15 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

For the Culture: Honor It! Celebrate It! Amplify It!

The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute (BCRI), along with Urban Impact, Inc. and CREED63, is excited to host its annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 15, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. along 16th Street between 3rd Avenue and 6th Avenue.

This event is free and open to the public, thanks to generous sponsorships from Shipt and Major League Baseball.
The cultural celebration will feature activities related to music, dance, arts, wellness, history, heritage, STEAM enrichment, personal development, sports and a car show. Festival goers can connect with culture through workshops, dance classes, documentaries, story time, and more!
Local talent and crowd favorites will be featured on the main stage throughout the day, and BCRI’s permanent galleries will be free for all.
Get free advance tickets to BCRI’s galleries here!

Follow us on social media @bhamcivilrights to keep up with all of the celebration announcements!
