Galleries Alive! – 60th Anniversary of Freedom Summer

Make your plans to visit the BCRI Galleries as we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of “Freedom Summer” and the Mississippi Freedom Project with GALLERIES ALIVE! Docents from our Legacy Youth program will be placed throughout to enrichen the self-guided experience with in-depth historical overviews on the exhibits.

The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute will reopen on May 27, 2026 at noon.
