The Jerry Malloy Negro League Exhibition

The Jerry Malloy Negro League Exhibition, held in conjunction with the 100th Anniversary of Birmingham's Rickwood Field, features artifacts from this era in Black Baseball, including:

  • An original Comiskey Park seat installed when the Park was built in 1910;
  • An original brick from Comiskey Park when it was built in 1910, saved from the demolition in 1991;
  • A complete uniform worn by Saul Davis, who played for the Birmingham Clack Barons from 1923-1926, although the uniform is not a Birmingham Black Baron uniform; and
  • An original 1949 Birmingham Black Barons calendar with a photo of the 1948 Champion Birmingham Black Barons team with Willie Mays and Rev. Bill Greason in the photo.

The exhibition is available for viewing in the Milestones Gallery June 18-August 15, 2010.
