The Barriers Gallery, with fourteen
exhibitions, conveys the quality of
life for Blacks and Whites under
segregation from about 1920 to 1954.

Special features of the Barriers Gallery include replicas of a mine entrance, segregated streetcar, newspaper office, "shotgun" house, classroom and church. A video jukebox highlights musicians of the era.
