Tuesday, January 10-March 11 BCRI kicks off its 20th anniversary on January 10 with "Vision: Works from the BCRI Fine Arts Collection," an exhibition that will feature 36 works by prominent African American artists including eight Alabamians Ahmad Austin, Art Bacon, Gwen Gorby, Chester Higgins, Ronald McDowell, Hollis Nall, Stephen Walker as well as internationally acclaimed artists Sam Gilliam, Jacob Lawrence and Margaret Burroughs. On display through March 11 in the Odessa Woolfolk gallery.
Monday, January 16--March 11 Acclaimed artist Nancy Stricklin presents the Flex Flow exhibit on January 16-March 11 in the Milestone Gallery. This exhibit features paintings that display a variety of styles and techniques that create stories and emotions through paint.
