Impacting the Community
An Economic Impact Study, completed in April of 2001 by the Alabama Bureau of Tourism and Travel (ABTT), found that visitors to the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute travel an average of 643 miles one-way and stay in area lodging approximately three nights, bringing more money into the city per visitor than other area attractions.
